Rugby player has surgery free nose job

A rugby league player who shattered his nose three times in just four months is celebrating after having it straightened without the need for surgery.

Former Huddersfield Giants half-back Adrian Moore, 38, from Batley, was left with an obliterated nose after taking a series of blows last year.

The injury also left him with a collapsed right nostril, giving him difficulty breathing.

Now Adrian has had his nose rebuilt by aesthetic doctor Tim Pearce at Manchester clinic SkinViva.

Adrian was playing for National Conference League Division Three side Dewsbury Moor when he first had his face damaged.

The 6ft 2ins player had a four week break from playing but then disaster struck yet again in May.

Doctors once again attempted to straighten his nose while also informing him that, luckily, there would be no long-term complications with his eye.

Unbelievably, four weeks after having his nose set-right, he broke it for a third time.

He said: “I broke it again! And it was almost a carbon copy of the previous time I’d broken it.”

Adrian, dad to Finlay, six, and Olivia, 10, soon started experiencing problems.

The amateur coach, who also works as an operations manager for a signage company, said: “My nose was constantly running. I couldn’t breathe properly. I’d get these strange tingles down my nose, too, which has obviously been caused by nerve damage.”

For a strapping lad, Adrian says he’s terrified of surgery, too, which makes his painless nose job all the more appealing.

He said: ““I’m not one for surgery - but it wasn’t anything like that - it was just needles. I think it’s a fantastic procedure. “
