Stolen car crashed in Dewsbury

Witnesses said a grey Volkswagen Golf GTI was driven recklessly before it crashed into a red Mini One on Sunday July 20, 6.30pm.

No one was in the Mini at the time of the crash and the Golf driver fled the scene.

Inspector Jenny Thompson, from Dewsbury Neighbouring Policing Team, said: “We want to speak to the driver of this Golf after the crash last night in Dewsbury.

“Witnesses have told us the car was being driven recklessly before the collision occurred and the driver made off, failing to report it to police.”
