Thousands turn out for Eid-Milad procession

More than 5, 000 people from mosques in Dewsbury, Batley and Heckmondwike turned out to walk during this year's Eid-Milad Peace Procession held to mark the prophet Mohammad's birthday celebrations.

The peace procession was organised by the Gulzar-E-Madina Jamia Mosque in Westtown and Saville-Town’s Ghausia Jamia Mosque.

The Eid-Milad festivities are part of national and global celebrations being organised at the moment by mainstream Sufi-Muslim communities across the globe.
