Two men stabbed in targeted attack

Two men were stabbed during a targeted attack in Batley last night (Wednesday).

The men, aged between 18 and 24, were left with slash and puncture wounds after the attack in Grange Road.

They were taken to hospital but have since been discharged.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault, which is believed to have happened between midnight on Wednesday and 1.30am this morning (Thursday).

Det Sgt Adrian Belle, of Kirklees District CID, said: “The suspects are believed to be have known to the victims and we are treating this as a targeted incident.

“We are appealing for anyone who was in the Grange Road Area between midnight and 1.30am who may have witnessed the incident, or have information that may assist the investigation.”
