Two women are cut from car after crashing into a wall in Dewsbury

Two women had to be cut from the car they were travelling in after crashing into a wall in Dewsbury.

They were both taken to Dewsbury and District Hospital complaining of neck pain.

Crews from Dewsbury and Ossett were called to Boothroyd Lane at around 12.05pm this afternoon (Tuesday).

On arrival they found the two women trapped in the car and used cutting equipment to take the car’s side off and release the women.

A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said it’s believed another vehicle was involved in the crash, but drove off.

Crews left the scene at around 1.30pm.
