Village to have new Post Office

One village will have a Post Office once again after it was announced a new service is to start later this month.

A seven-days-a-week service will start at the Top Shop General Store in 208 Bradford Road, Birkenshaw.

Trading begins on Tuesday February 24 at 1pm, offering Special Delivery, Local Collect, home shopping returns and more.

It is just 800 metres from the old Birkenshaw Post Office, which suddenly closed in June 2013.

Opening times for the new service are Monday-Friday from 7am-9pm, and 8am-8pm during weekends.
