Hunsworth is set to be transformed into a village full of scarecrows as residents are being urged to get creative with this year’s masterpieces.

This year’s festival will include flower displays, which could be a planter, hanging basket or large pot. The scarecrows and displays of flowers need to be out in people’s gardens by Wednesday July 4 ready for judging the following day. Presentation for the winners will take place Sunday July 15 at 2pm. Prizes include a family shootout and Oakwell Hall. There is a litter pick too on Sunday July 1.
