Full weather forecast as Yorkshire set for sun filled weekend

It is set to be a sun filled weekend across Yorkshire with temperatures reaching 25 degrees.

Friday will see long sunny periods with mostly unbroken strong sunshine.

The sun will reach its peak between 2pm and 7pm with temperatures in the 20s.

Sunset will start from 9.24pm and it will remain dry overnight.

Saturday will be a very similar day with unbroken and strong sunshine..

Temperatures will be slightly lower with maximum temperatures reaching 22 degrees.

On Sunday, the day will start off slightly cloudy but will be sunny again by late morning.

Highs of 21 degrees expected..

The Met Office forecasts that it will continue to stay sunny next week and into June, but there will be more rain showers.

The forecaster said: "Remaining dry with spells of sunshine through to early next week, although cloud amounts tending to increase.

"Warm inland at first, but an onshore wind keeping coastal parts cooler.

"The start of June will see a continuation of the current settled weather with most places staying dry and sunny.

"However, there is an increasing chance of seeing some rain or showers at times, especially across northern and western parts.

"It will be very warm initially but temperatures are likely to begin to return to normal towards the middle of the period."
