West Yorkshire woman Connie Jennings named as victim of Scotland crash

Police have named a 96-year-old woman who died in a road crash.

Connie Jennings, from West Yorkshire, died in hospital after a collision on the A9 between Murthly and Bankfoot, Perth and Kinross, on Friday.

She was a passenger in a red Mazda CX5 that was in collision with a white D&E Coaches single decker bus at around 10.15am.

The bus was stopped in lane one of the southbound dual carriageway behind a second D&E Coaches bus at the time of the incident.

Ms Jennings was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee where she died from her injuries.

The driver of the car, a woman in her 60s, was also taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

There were no passengers on the bus at the time of the incident.

Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the car or either of the buses travelling south before the incident to contact them.
