Young musicians' academy chance

Talented young orchestral players in West Yorkshire are being given the opportunity to spend a week of their summer holidays developing their playing and performance skills with the Opera North Orchestra Academy.

Designed for 14 to 19-year- olds at Grade 7 level and above, the academy will be held in Leeds from Tuesday 28 August to Saturday 1 September.

Jacqui Cameron, Opera North Education director, said: “The Orchestra Academy Summer Residency week is perfect for those who are already members of their local youth orchestra.”
