Barraclough bags treble but Sports held

LUKE Barraclough bagged a hat-trick but it wasn’t enough to earn Heckmondwike Sports all three points as they were held to a 3-3 draw by Bulls Head Ravensthorpe in Division One of the Spen Valley League last Saturday.

Savile United edged out Soothill in a nine-goal thriller thanks to Mohsin Acha, Faisal Adam, Abul Mulla, Adam Munshi and an own goal. Johnny Beverley, Tom Yarnold, Raffa and Richard Markem-Smith replied.

Howden Clough overcame Inter Batley (Z Dazi and A Navsarka) 3-2 thanks to goals from J McNamara, Phil Clarke and Ash Peel.

Cleckheaton Sporting had Alan Wilks, Dominic Williams and Mick Hutton on target in a 3-2 victory over Bulls Head Dewsbury, who replied through Brad Jackson and Danny Goodlad.

ALC scored four goals in each half to overcome Norfolk 8-0, while BD3 United Reserves beat Fairbank United Reserves 4-3.

Chris Lever bagged a brace but couldn’t help Vision slipping to a 4-2 defeat against Savile Youth in the Premier Division.

Mark Wrigley hit a consolation for Marsh in a 6-1 defeat against Bradford, while and own goal condemned Ravensthorpe Rangers to a 4-3 defeat against Fairbank United.
