Last year, Jordan fought at 50kg and won the Yorkshire title, going on to represent the White Rose in the quarter finals, where he defeated the North East champion to claim the Northern England title before he eventually bowed out to the Midlands champion at the semi-final stage.

This year Jordan moved up to the 52kg category, where he again claimed the Yorkshire title and also won his quarter- final against the Merseyside and Cheshire champion.

The Central gym, home to local boxing star Gary Sykes, is thriving with a host of talented youngsters hoping to bring titles to the area.
