Town battled well and although there were plenty of chances at both ends, the first half ended goalless.

The Belles introduced midfielder Georgia Lane after the break and she made an immediate impact, pressing the Ilkley defence which resulted in a mistake and a goal for top scorer Katie Clarkson in the 46th minute.

Clarkson netted a further two goals after 49 and 60 minutes to complete her hat-trick, with Eve Hattrell sealing an impressive away win with a brilliant left foot shot in the 80th minute as Battyeford continued their excellent start to the campaign.

Battyeford Reserves gained their first point of the season with a draw at home to Farsley Reserves.

Sacha Hately-Lowe converted a penalty when Jo Currie was upended in the area only for them to be denied victory when Farsley drew level with an 85th minute equaliser.

The Belles face a tasty WR County Cup tie at Bradford City on Sunday, while the Reserves host Tyresal (ko 2pm).
