Roses T20 match heading for sell-out

Yorkshire Vikings have confirmed that less than a few hundred tickets remain for Friday night’s ‘War of the Roses’ clash against Lancashire Lighting at Headingley in the Friends Life T20 (5.40pm start).

All areas of the 15,000 Headingley ground are now sold out except limited sections of the East Stand and a number of restricted view seats in other areas of the ground.

“It is a great statement to make to see the house full signs up at Headingley,” said Yorkshire County Cricket Club chief executive Mark Arthur.

“This will be the first time that Headingley has been sold out for a T20 match since 2004. The place will be rocking and let’s hope we can reward the fans with a victory against our arch rivals.”

Fans wishing to come to Headingley are being encouraged to buy their tickets in advance. This also applies to members who are hoping to reserve their ticket for the match.

“We are stressing that if you are looking to come to Headingley on Friday get your ticket now,” added Arthur.

“This also applies to members wishing to reserve a ticket as part of their membership. Members need to act now or miss out. We expect to have no tickets available on the day. With the match starting at 5.40pm, we are also encouraging fans to arrive early. Turnstiles will open at 4.10pm so to avoid congestion, please arrive at the ground early and make a night of it.”
