Cycle Speedway club defeat
DESPITE encouraging numbers attending training sessions, Darren Kent and Andy Morris were the only Heckmondwike cycle speedway riders who travelled to Stockport.
Heckmondwike were again forced to include guest riders and although Kent scored 17 points and Morris eight, they had 31 points deducted and suffered an 88-25 defeat.
There are no fixtures over Easter and no training next Wednesday, so Heckmondwike are next in action on Sunday, May 1 when they travel to Hull.
Junior age category racing starts at 12.30pm with Heckmondwike facing Hull, Bury and Stockport in the Fours League at 2pm.
