Naivigation have the edge over Chickenley in thrilling Brook Butler Cup clash
Navigation won a 13-goal thriller against AFC Chickenley in the Heavy Woollen District FA Brook Butler Cup third round last Sunday.
Navigation edged to a 7-6 victory and progress to the quarter-finals in the new year.
Old Bank WMC had a 3-1 win at Deighton WMC, Wire Works overcame Ravenswharfe 4-1, while Wellington Westgate beat Roberttown Rovers 9-2.
The other four third round ties were postponed and will now take place on December 18.
Birstall CC moved up to second place in the Heavy Woollen Sunday League Premier Division after winning 3-2 at Woodman Batley Carr thanks to a Max Vernon double plus a strike from Joe Lyttle. Andy Bates hit both Woodman goals.
Hanging Heaton CC moved fourth in the Championship after a Joe Jagger brace plus goals from James Keen and Ryan Rylah saw them beat Battyeford 4-2. Guy Hollinshead and Daniel Parris replied for the visitors.
Scholes Athletic moved nine points clear at the top of Division One after Kieran Armitage and Jonny Irving both struck twice in an 8-2 win over Clifton Rangers Reserves, with Mick O’Hara, Gareth Jones, Richard Burke and Ashley Barnes competing the tally.
Saville Arms moved third after Nathan Rogerson and Patrick Davies fired hat-tricks in a 7-2 win over FC Liversedge.
Jack Baldwin hit the other with Danny Stocks and Danny Stephenson replying.
Overthorpe Sports moved second in Division Two after a brace apiece from Lee Davey, Kristian Angus and Tom Hirst saw them beat Wike Horse 7-1. Michael Hutton scored the other with Danny Secker replying.
