Simpsons move top in search of seventh table tennis crown

Howden Clough City Under-10 enjoyed a 2-0 home win over Rastrick.

Jack Toronczak played well in goal with some well-placed kicks aiding MoM Jacob Partridge to score a couple of goals.

Ewan Mckinnon produced some good runs together with fellow midfielders Dom Maltas and Lucas Broadbent. Billal Aziz used great skills to manoeuvre around the Rastrick defence,

Michael Masso Walsh read the game well, getting in the right place at the right time, earning himself MoM. Defenders Harvey Flathers and Rhys Padgett were solid at the back and Rastrick couldn’t get through.

Howden Clough United Under-10s were 5-3 winners over Rastrick in another great game.

Michael Rawlings pulled off some great saves, again earning MoM. Max Elliott and captain Koby Stainburn were solid at the back, stopping quick Rastrick strikers. Midfield Josh Birdsall pushed up and ended with two goals.

Midfielders Oliver Larkin and Myles Neville caused problems for Rastrick with Oliver helping to set up the strikers and Myles working hard to get back and help defenders.

Strikers Brendan David Pitts, Paisley Mitchell pushed on up front, causing trouble with their fast dribbling, while Bradley Richardson scored a deserved hat-trick by always reading the game and being in the right place, earning the parents’ player award .
