High hopes for Boys in final

BATLEY Boys bid to end their season on a high note tomorrow (Friday) as they face York Acorn A in the Yorkshire League Division Two play-off final.

The Boys finished top of Division Two, one point ahead of second-placed Acorn A, who boasted the meanest defence over the season.

The Halifax Road side will be looking to make it a treble having won 34-33 at Acorn A in March before completing a league double with a 30-0 home win last month.
