LITTLETOWN moved back to the top of the Heavy Woollen Gate Sunday League with a 9-3 demolition of Thornhill Lees.

Jordan Maltas (hat- trick), Andy Godding (brace), Dale Smith, Aiden Schofield, Duane Bywood and an own goal netted for Littletown who lead the table by three points from Towngate, who have six games in hand. Nathan Kemp, Jordan Marsden and Marc Griffiths replied for Lees, who are struggling for a team at the moment.

Old Pack Horse are third despite their 5-2 reversal at Heckmondwike Town. Matthew Biddle (two), Paul Walker, Jamie Wasley and Chris Parkin scored for Heckmondwike. Andy Pounder, Luke Barker and Steve Smith netted for Birkenshaw in their 3-0 win at Navigation, a result that moves them up to fourth. New Scarborough consolidated their mid table position with a narrow 2-1 win over bottom side Howden Clough. Gareth Huxall and Adam Cox found the net for the home side with Mark Heseldin hitting Clough’s consolation.

Woodman had Andy Pickles (hat-trick), James Goodall (brace) and Danny Scott on target as they won 6-3 over an inconsistent Babes In The Wood (David Ward two, David Murphy).
