Liversedge show marked improvement

Whittington’s second half penalty proved decisive but Sedge could easily have left with a share of the spoils.

Bojang was thwrated by a dramatic last-gasp challenge after a lovely Farrar pass and despite not playing for several weeks, Liversedge showed superior fitness and finished strongly.

Two minutes from full-time, captain Ryan Haigh sent Dom Riordan in on goal but the goalkeeper smothered his shot as the home side held on for victory.
