The Clayborners have taken 12 points from their seven matches in March to move off the foot of the table and give themselves real hope of producing a great escape.

Jonathan Rimmington’s men now enter the final month of the campaign with 10 games to play in the space of just 28 days, seven of which are at home.

Liversedge travel to Barton Town Old Boys on Saturday and make the short trip to neighbours Thackley on Tuesday looking to maintain their impressive recent run.

Liversedge have already beaten both sides earlier in the season and are brimming with confidence following their recent up turn in form.

Liversedge’s 3-1 win over Rainworth last Saturday, in which new signing Benny Igiehon bagged a double, was enough to lift them off the foot of the table.

They are now two points above Nostell Miners Welfare, following Tuesday’s impressive 1-1 draw against league leaders Handsworth Parramore.

Sedge must finish outside the bottom three to avoid relegation and they are just three points behind Brigg Town with six games in hand.

Brigg have only four matches remaining and face a crucial game of their own on Saturday when they travel to Nostell.

Fourth-bottom Parkgate are also well in Liversedge’s sights and are just four points above Rimmington’s men, who have played five games fewer.

Liversedge play four games in the space of seven days next week as their gruelling schedule continues.

They entertain Clipstone next Thursday (April 7) and then host Pickering Town on Saturday week.
