Qualifying takes place on Saturday, from 1pm until the early evening, with the British Open finals being held from 10am to late afternoon on Sunday with players competing for the £1,000 winners cheques plus the Tog 24 la British Open trophy.

Performance clothing brand Tog 24, based in Heckmondwike’s Spen Vale Mills since 1958, are headline sponsor of this year’s Petanque British Open.

Tog 24 MD Mark Ward commented: “As it’s our 60th birthday this year, our team at Tog 24 wanted to support a community event. We’re delighted to be involved with this sporting competition which showcases Heckmondwike nationwide and internationally as we plan to grow our business both home and abroad.

“Following a re-branding last year which focusses on our Yorkshire heritage and our core values such as ‘truth over glory’, this tournament is a perfect fit.”
