Navigation sail clear of HW rivals – St Patricks break league duck

NAVIGATION moved three points clear at the top of the Heavy Woollen Sunday League Premier Division thanks to a 3-1 win over struggling Crown Leeds Road.

Lewis Collinson, Rob McCall and Dale Hanson were on target for Navigation, with Dominic Karimi hitting Crown’s reply.

Birstall St Patricks earned their first win of the season with a 3-2 victory at New Scarborough. Jean-Marie Julienne netted twice for St Pats, who also had Scott Minto on the scoresheet.

Marc Cowell scored both goals for Scarborough.

The final 100 per cent record in Division One was ended as Battyeford were held to a 0-0 draw by fourth placed Mirfield Town.

Battyeford lead the division by a point from New Inn Staincliffe.

Division Three leaders Barr Street thumped hosts Crown Leeds Road Reserves 11-0.

Dwayne Wilkinson led the way with four goals, Daniel Stuart and Lewis Tolson each scored twice, with Paul Krol, Scott Hudson and Anthony Furey also finding the net.

Barr Street are three points clear of Railway East Ardsley and Batley Irish Nash.
