Batley Bulldogs announce raft of re-signings
Batley Bulldogs have continued to bolster their squad for the 2021 Championship campaign with five players re-signing for the club in the last seven days.
Dale Morton was the latest to agree new terms at Mount Pleasant, extending his stay into a second season.
The former Wakefield Trinity and Dewsbury Rams winger played four times for Batley before the campaign was cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Morton spent seven seasons with the Rams before joining Batley, making over 200 appearances for Dewsbury.
Michael Ward, Toby Everett, George Senior and Jack Blagbrough have also agreed new terms as Craig Lingard continues to build his squad for the 2021 season. Ward joined the club from Oldham under Matt Diskin ahead of the 2018 campaign, and has been an ever-present member of the squad, making over 60 appearances in two years.
Everett arrived at Batley from Heavy Woollen rivals Dewsbury while Senior signed a permanent deal for 2020 after a trial spell in 2019. Blagbrough arrived at Mount Pleasant ahead of the 2020 campaign.
The Bulldogs are set to confirm four more re-signings this week, with the latest to agree a new deal to be announced this evening.
