Batley Bulldogs winger Wayne Reittie to be assessed ahead of Challenge Cup tie at Featherstone
BATLEY BULLDOGS winger Wayne Reittie will be assessed ahead of Saturday’s Challenge Cup clash with Featherstone Rovers.
The 33-year-old has picked up a knock to his shoulder and knee while forward trio James Brown, Dane Manning and Anthony Bowman are still likely to be sidelined after missing last weekend’s win at Halifax.
“James Brown, Dane Manning and Anthony Bowman are still likely to be missing,” confirmed Lingard.
“Wayne Reittie will be assessed, he picked up a little knock on his shoulder and his knee. Other than that it is just the normal bumps and bruises, apart from those players we have a clean bill of health.”
Lingard doesn’t anticipate full-back Luke Hooley to be ruled out long-term after he was withdrawn against Halifax.
He added: “Luke Hooley took a bad knock to his face and needed some stitches up his nose.
"He has been struggling, it is still bleeding and it is not healing how it needs to at the minute. At the minute, we don’t foresee it keeping out long-term and we hope he will be fit and available for this weekend.”
