Batley Bulldogs officials have helped raise money for a motor neurone disease charity, along with the Bulldogs Charitable Trust, after winning a golf day last year.

Bulldogs chairman Kevin Nicholas, chief executive Paul Harrison, first team coach Craig Lingard and sponsor Tim Crawshaw, of Rigel Financial Services, received two cheques of £280 each from the Royal Arch Masons of Yorkshire West Riding, which they donated to the charities.

Batley RLFC Chaplain Derek Ventress received a cheque on behalf of motor neurone disease, while Lingard and Jon Humpleby were presented with a cheque for the Bulldogs Charitable Trust.
