Batley Bulldogs have been shortlisted in two categories at the coveted TV Yorkshire Sports Personality of the Year awards.
Batley’s achievements in reaching the middle eights qualifiers following a third place finish in the Kingstone Press Championship have been recognised and they have been shortlisted in the team of the year category.
They are joined on the shortlist by Hull, Yorkshire CCC, Barnsley FC, Huddersfield Town and the Musley Bank - Richard Fahey Stables.
John Kear has also been shortlisted in the coach of the year category after a hugely successful campaign which saw him scoop the Championship coach of the year award.
Kear is joined on the shortlist by Lee Radford (Hull FC), Jason Gillespie (Yorkshire CCC), Ady Hinchcliffe and Edwin Jongejans (Leeds Diving), boxing trainer David Coldwell and UFC coach Darren Morris.
