Batley Bulldogs have sent get well messages to a junior player who is recovering from illness in hospital.

Jack Tranter plays for Batley Boys Under-9s but missed his team’s presentation last Saturday having suffered a burst appendix.

Batley Boys sponsor Mark Wells, from Complete Services, arranged for Bulldogs stars Sean Ainscough and Cain Southernwood, along with Bradford Bulls’ new signing Johnny Campbell, to send a video message to Jack.

A signed Bulldogs shirt, along with get well cards from the Bulldogs and his Batley Boys teammates, were presented to a delighted Jack in hospital by his coaches Rachel Godfrey and Simon Alvy along with Ian Godfrey and Joanne Alvy.
