Batley Bulldogs will be on their guard when Whitehaven return to Fox’s Biscuits Stadium for the second time in 10 days on Easter Monday (ko 3pm).
High flying Batley were given a scare before edging past the Cumbrians 37-36 in last Saturday’s cup-tie.
Coach John Kear had warned of Haven’s threat having seen them beat Sheffield Eagles the previous week but he was disappointed with his side’s defensive display.
Kear will look for an improved performance in Batley’s second game over the busy Easter programme.
Whitehaven kick off their Easter schedule with a Cumbrian derby against old foes Workington tomorrow before their return trip to West Yorkshire.
