Hooker Tom Hemingway is the latest player to commit his future to Batley Bulldogs after agreeing a new deal to remain at the club in 2019.

Hemingway was restricted to just eight appearances last season after a serious injury picked up during the 30-12 home defeat by Leigh Centurions in July ended his campaign.

Hemingway was clattered by an elbow from Jamie Action, which resulted in the Leigh man been handed a seven-match ban, but despite being unable to play again last term, the half-back or hooker remained a key figure in Batley’s pre-match preparations and is now ready for a return to action.

Batley will launch their new look 2019 strips at a fans forum in Ron’s Lounge at Fox’s Biscuits Stadium next Friday (November 30).

With the Championship fixtures due to be released this Sunday, Batley will also unveil details for their season tickets at the meeting, which is free for supporters who wish to attend.

Head coach Matt Diskin and chairman Kevin Nicholas will also answer questions from supporters.

Batley fans will have a keen eye on the fixtures, not least details of next year’s Summer Bash weekend, with rumours circulating that it could move away from the traditional seaside venue of Blackpool’s Bloomfield Road for the first time.
