Batley Bulldogs forwards Alex Rowe and James Brown have agreed new deals which will keep them at Mount Pleasant until the end of the 2018 season.

The influential duo are the latest to agree contract extensions and Batley beat off competition from a host of other clubs in persuading the pair to agree new deals.

Brown has made 15 appearances for the Bulldogs so far this season, six of which have seen him come off the bench, and he has scored four tries.

Rowe has featured in 11 games, seven as substitute, scoring twice and both played key roles in last Sunday’s impressive 32-16 victory over Halifax.

Batley now have 13 players signed up until the end of next season and beyond.
