Batley Bulldogs have honoured one of their long serving fans by making Sam Haigh a life member of the club.
Sam is a lifelong Batley fan and has spent the last 25 years doing odd jobs and carrying out essential maintenance work at Mount Pleasant.
David Ward brought Sam to Batley following his retirement from Kalon and he has been a familiar face at the club ever since.
Batley chairman Kevin Nicholas and Ward made a surprise presentation to Sam following last Sunday’s game against Featherstone Rovers.
Bulldogs chief executive Paul Harrison said: “Sam’s work is invaluable to the club and making him an honorary life member is a small way of showing our gratitude for everything he has done.”
