Trojans U7s continue to show improvement in three games with Drighlington

Thornhill Trojans Under-7s travelled to Drighlington to play three small sided games against their opponents.

The Trojans youngsters produced another good performance against a well matched Driglington side in the first game.

Jack Griffiths led the way with some strong carries and always worked hard to cover tackle any Drighlington attacker who broke through.

There was also a great effort from Joseph Sweeney, who is gaining confidence with every game he plays.

Faith Emerson produced a tenacious display in attack and defence, backed up by Mia Waters with some strong runs and solid defence.

MoM went to Charlie Holland, who worked hard in defence and produced some powerful drives in another fine Trojans effort.

The second game saw Thornhill face a Drighlington side who turned out to be tough opposition.

The Trojans got off to a great start with Lucas Drake carrying the ball well along with Max Mackie and Oliver Parker.

Lewis Broadhead made some fantastic try saving tackles to keep Drig at bay.

Blake Hepworth and Blake Sykes continue to show improvement with each game they play and provided good offloads which led to the Trojans scoring some great tries throughout the entertaining contest.

Great team spirit by the Trojans led to them scoring some fine tries in the third game against Drig.

McKenzie Davis scored a great solo try after dancing through the defence on his way to the line.

Zak Bennett put in a top display in attack and defence, while Issac Frost and Jacob Parkin produced solid runs in a game that saw Jackson Lister finish the day with an impressive 22 tackles.

The Trojans youngsters now take a break for the school summer holidays but have worked hard as they continue to learn and improve.

The Trojans run mini teams for youngsters from Under-7 through to Under-11s and have a junior section with two Under-12 and Under-13 teams, along with an Under-15s side.
