Batley Bulldogs have agreed a season long loan deal which will allow centre Chris Ulugia to finally join the club.
Ulugia had agreed terms with Batley only to have his visa application turned down by the RFL, having failed to play the required number of games last season.
In a bizarre twist, Ulugia’s visa with Bradford Bulls is valid for the 2016 season and the Odsal club have agreed to loan him to Batley.
Ulugia will remain a Bulls player but will spend the full season at Batley. He cannot be recalled and he will be eligible to play when the Bulldogs face Bradford.
Batley have thanked Bradford’s Steve Ferris for his assistance in allowing Ulugia to join them.
