Batley Bulldogs will host Toronto Wolfpack in an historic Betfred Championship clash this Sunday (April 8, kick off 3pm).

Batley’s Mount Pleasant staged its first rugby league game on September 7 1895 against Hull FC, which makes Fox’s Biscuits Stadium the oldest ground in the British game.

Toronto played their first professional game on January 22 2017, also against Hull FC, becoming the first trans-Atlantic team in the history of the sport.

On April 8, the ages collide, as the newest club in the game, visit the oldest stadium in the game. Trailblazers and History Makers.

The Bulldogs have launched a spectacular video to promote the historic game, while the club are also encouraging as many rugby league supporters as possible to attend.
