The Kingstone Press Championship season is approaching halfway and thoughts are already turning towards the Summer Bash festival, which will be held at Blackpool’s Bloomfield Road at the end of May.
A full round of Championship matches will head to the seaside resort over the weekend of May 28 and 29.
The Summer Bash will provide an unmissable experience for everyone with plenty of big clashes and high intensity action guaranteed.
This year’s Summer Bash boasts the strongest-possible round of fixtures, starting with the iPro Sport Cup final between the winners of this weekend’s semi-finals between York City Knights v University of Gloucestershire All Golds and London Skolars v Keighley Cougars on Saturday May 28 at noon:
Saturday’s Championship triple header sees Sheffield Eagles face London Broncos (2.30pm), the Cumbrian derby clash between Workington Town and Whitehaven (4.45pm) followed by Bradford Bulls v Leigh Centurions (7pm).
Sunday’s action kicks off with the Heavy Woollen derby between Dewsbury Rams and Batley Bulldogs (12.35pm) followed by Oldham v Swinton Lions (3pm) and Halifax v Featherstone Rovers (5.15pm).
Batley recorded a 44-30 victory over the Rams in the Good Friday derby at Tetley’s Stadium, while Glenn Morrison’s men won last season’s Summer Bash clash in Blackpool, edging out the Bulldogs 19-12.
The Reporter Series have teamed up with The RFL to give away four weekend pairs of tickets to this year’s Summer Bash.
All you have to do is answer the following question and e-mail your name, address and a daytime contact number to DewsburySport@ywng.co.uk.
The closing date for entries is noon on Thursday May 5 and usual Reporter Series competition rules apply.
