Superb breaks at Brighton Street

There has been a glut of high snooker breaks made recently by players at Brighton Street WMC, Heckmondwike.

Paul Jackson got the ball rolling with 111 in an Ossett League match which won the league’s high break prize.

Matthew Barnes made a break of 100 shortly after in practice and the high quality of snooker was continued a week later when Chris Edley made a fine clearance of 128.

Not to left out of the fun Stuart Priestley made 109 and a 134 total clearance in the same week. The latter coming after knocking a ball in off his own break!

Just a week later Richard Pamment capped a triumphant week where he took the honours in the Spen Valley scratch tournament, by making breaks of 100 and 114 within an hour of each other.

All five players, along with several other talented local players, can be seen in action throughout the summer in the Top 16 championship at the Brighton Street club. Matches are played over seven frames on Monday and Thursday nights — all spectators are welcome.
