“It’s a great opportunity to see some of your favourite bands without the high price tag or having to travel too far.

“We’re really excited to be coming to Halifax.

“Not only will festival-goers be able to see their favourite bands perform, but they will also have a chance to meet them as they wander around the marquee.

“Fake Festivals really does get you closer to the music and the people.”

The headliners will be Oasish, Four Fighters and Antarctic Monkeys, with support from local bands Tempus, You Had Me at Hello, Bad Asteroids, Under the Gun and The Surge.

Oasish frontman Paul Higginson said the band were excited to play the first Halifax event.

“We’re ready to come and rock you, and we want you all down the front singing along with us,” he said. “Expect to hear the Oasis anthems plus some banter along the way.”

Tickets for the day are £20 for adults, £10 for young people aged 10-17 and £50 for a family ticket, with children under nine getting in for free.
