A cracking night on the town with Robert, Adrian, Dave and Chris

Just like the much-loved Teechers, Bouncers has a small cast with each taking on more than one persona.

Starting with Lucky Eric, Judd, Les and Ralp – Rob Hudson, Adrian Hood, Dave Mccreedy and Chris Hannon also portray a variety of drunken men and women as they tell the story of a typical night at their 1980s Yorkshire disco.

So you can’t get away with anyone who’s below par – which is exactly what made this production such a treat, each actor was as talented and amiable as the next.

Just when you thought Robert Hudson was getting serious as Lucky Eric, the tide would turn on a hilarious joke – much to the delight of the group of women sat behind me. Adrian Hood’s hapless Judd was entertaining enough, but he really shone while portraying his dumpy girl on a night out.

Dave Maccreedy was best as his lad on the town, and Chris Hannon – a familiar face now with Wakefield audiences after his long-running stint as pantomime dame – had everyone in stitches, whether it was as his particular gal, Ralph the bouncers or the Smashy and Nicey-esque club DJ.
