Have a heart and support appeal

The team at Leeds Building Society’s Dewsbury branch are supporting Heart Month this February by promoting the British Heart Foundation’s charity red heart pin badges.

The badges are available now, for a suggested donation of £1, in the branch at 15-17 Foundry Street, Dewsbury, until the end of the month.

Money raised will be used for research, support and care for those suffering from heart disease.

This follows Leeds Building Society’s head office in Leeds supporting the BHF’s Ramp Up The Red day last week, when staff dressing up in red to raise money.

Dewsbury branch manager Damien Briscoe said: “We wanted to get involved with the British Heart Foundation this February in National Heart Month because we think the charity does great work.”

BHF fundraising manager Sue Green added: “Heart Month is a fantastic opportunity for everyone to think about how many lives are affected by heart disease. By promoting our red heart pin badges to their customers until the end of this month, the Leeds Building Society Dewsbury branch will be helping us to raise much-needed funds in order to fight heart disease.”
