Squadron Commander Flt Lt Alan Curtis said: “It was a superb effort from the team, especially as two of them were working towards their A Level grades for university places.”

The Postal Competition comprised five rounds over eight months and each round requires the firer to compete in the prone, standing and kneeling position.

“That makes it a challenge for all the competitors and to achieve such a high standard is testament to the youngsters that Dewsbury Squadron attracts,” Mr Curtis added.

Team gold medals were awarded to the three man team and Callum Evans was also awarded highest male score.
