Reece Walker, 15, Louis Taylor, 10, Joe Walker, 12, and Zak Oldroyd, eight, all pictured right, have organised a spooky Halloween party for the Huddersfield hospice.

Joe and Reece’s mum, Jayne, said all the boys had been touched by cancer in some way, either through family or close friends.

Mrs Walker said: “We’re so proud of them. They will be on the doors taking tickets and they’re already selling raffle tickets.”

Mrs Walker, of Wellhouse Close, Mirfield, also fundraises for Kirkwood by making special sweet creations.

The disco takes place at Mirfield Constitutional Club on Sunday, 2pm-6pm. Tickets are £3.50, adults go free. There will be free hot dogs, games and a raffle.

Also pictured in the front row are Harry Gleghorn, six, Esme Gleghorn, four, and Matilda Gleghorn, six.
