The van is linked to the disposal of Mr Vincent’s body. His leg, arm and torso were found in Tetney Lock, near Grimsby, at the beginning of March.

Six men have appeared in court in Grimsby accused of conspiring to pervert the course of justice by hiring the van to frustrate an ongoing murder inquiry.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “Detectives from the Humberside Police Major Incident Team are working with officers from West Yorkshire Police in order to carry out searches in the Colne Bridge area following a possible sighting of the white coloured Ready Rent a Van Ford Transit between March 1 and 7.

“The searches include West Yorkshire Police underwater search officers and are expected to be taking place for the next couple of weeks.

“The searches form part of the ongoing investigation into the death of Grimsby man Adam Vincent.”
