BREAKING NEWS: Stray cow delays trains between Dewsbury and Mirfield

The animal was reported to Network Rail at 4.10pm this afternoon, after it was seen on the tracks in Mirfield.

Train drivers have been advised to proceed with caution as they their drive vehicles through the town.

A spokeswoman for Network Rail said staff were still on their way to move the cow at 4.50pm today.

She said once the cow had been removed, staff would check the fencing around the track for any gaps.
