Bruntcliffe readers become millionaires!

Pupils in years seven to nine who were involved with the school’s accelerated reading programme had read 66,099,067 words and 4,083 books.

Pictured are “millionaires” Kibla Zahoor, Morgan Bennett, Ben Viets and Luke Crossland, who have broken the million word mark individually.

They were each recognised and awarded prizes by the English department.

Pupil Saskia Wood read the highest number of words, which was more than two million, and received a £40 Kindle voucher.

The other four millionaires, pictured, each won a £20 book token.
