Corporal Jake Hartley inquest to resume
The hearing at Oxfordshire Coroner’s Court will seek to establish how the 20-year-old and five other soldiers were killed in Afghanistan on March 6 last year.
Cpl Hartley, of 3rd Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment, was killed alongside Sergeant Nigel Coupe, 33; Private Christopher Kershaw, 19; Private Anthony Frampton, 20; Private Daniel Wade, 20; and Private Daniel Wilford, 21.

Hide AdThe soldiers died when their vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device in Helmand Province.
Cpl Hartley, a former Earlsheaton Technology College pupil, was highly regarded by his colleagues with Army bosses describing him as one of the best.’
Hundreds of mourners packed into Christ Church in New Mill last May to pay their respects at his funeral.
Lasting tributes to Cpl Hartley have been made in Dewsbury since then.

Hide AdA ward at the Priory Hospital in Earlsheaton was named after Cpl Hartley, following a suggestion by pupils at his old school.
And his name was one of 24 added to Crow Nest Park’s war memorial last year.
His family also received the Elizabeth Cross and Memorial Scroll – the medals give national recognition to families of those who have died on operations or as a result of terrorism.
