Batley stabbing victim left in serious condition after gang of men attack him with baseball bats

A man has been stabbed in Batley after a group of men were seen attacking the victim with baseball bats.

Police were called to a report of an assault on Benny Parr Close, Batley at around 9.03pm yesterday (June 21).

Several men were reported to have been in possession of baseball bats and were assaulting a man

The victim, a man in his 30s, also sustained a stab wound.

He remains in hospital in a serious condition.

Detective Inspector Di Johnson said: “We believe this was a targeted attack and enquiries remain ongoing. Our officers remain in the area today.

“I would ask anyone who has any information and has yet to speak to police to please contact officers.”

Three people have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in custody.
