A driver had his car seized in Birstall just ‘minutes after he bought it’.

Officers from the Batley and Spen Neighbourhood Policing Team were conducting patrols on November 20.
They stopped the silver Ford Focus in the Fieldhead area.
A spokesperson for the NPT said: “The driver who alleged to have bought the vehicle only minutes before hand and his friends were less than impressed with the long walk home when officers seized the vehicle.
"Unfortunately “needing to get home” is not a valid defence for no license or insurance.
