Rogue traders con Batley man in his home and steal money as he counted it out

Police officers are warning about fraudsters operating in the Kirklees area.

Kirklees police officers are advising people to be aware of rogue traders who have been spotted around Batley.

On Oakview Terrace between 9.30am and 10.30am on Monday January 18 a complainant was tricked into paying cash for the felling of trees.

The work was not undertaken.

The suspect entered the house as the complainant counted out the money which has then been snatched from him and the fraudster made off with a substantial amount of cash.

The suspects were seen to be using a Silver Ford Transit type van with green writing on its sides.
