Developer withdraws 185 homes plan
A controversial planning application to build 135 houses on Balderstone Hall Fields in Mirfield has been withdrawn in what campaigners are calling a ‘tactical move’ by the developer, Bellway Homes.
Cheryl Taylor, from the Save Mirfield campaign group, said: “It has taken almost two years to get to this stage and Bellway are still messing everyone about. This may be a tactical move on their part and they may come back later with another proposal. We will be ready. Save Mirfield will continue the fight against any development on this piece of land. We will not fade away.”
